Default Borla Adjustable Vs. GMMG??

What is better? I am going to go w/ a used Borla adjustable or a new GMMG. What should I do? The Borla will be cheaper, but am I sacrificing a lot of good sound? Help me out. I don't know what to do? Give me as much detail on both when it comes to sound and power...I don't want to make a mistake and get the wrong one...

Get the gmmg. It will sound 10,000 times better than the borla. I have seen lots of people take their borla's off because they hated the sound. I couldn't see you giving up more that 1 or 2 horsepower max with the gmmg.

GMMG!

Edit: That is, unless you can be swayed to duals.

I wanted duals originally. But here is why I decided against them:
1) I finally found a palce that could do them, but it would be $800 parts and labor for aluminum. And that is if I buy the X and the mufflers myself. He said $500 for labor alone. I can't do I myself and I just don't have that kind of money.
2) I need cats. The police are horrible in my town and I would just need them. And I don't know if have TDs with the cats is worth having TDs at all.
3) I don't have LTs yet. I plan on them, but not till next summer (not this one). Plus do you need LTs to have true duals? I don't even know. Like I said earlier, I need cats too.
4) $800 for aluminum??!!?? That's insane to me. I don't know. Wouldnt stainless be the way to go. I am trying to spend no more than $800 total, but for aluminum??!? That's just dumb.

I can be swayed if anyone has a solution to my problem. I live in town, I can't weld, I can't bend, I really can't do anything other than bolt on. Can someone help me?

Get the GMMG. I've had it on a week or so and LOVE the sound. Its beautiful, I was swayed from true duals for a couple reasons, none of which you listed tho. If you can't get duals, get GMMG. forget borla.

Probably be easier and cheaper to order the TSP Rumbler-X and have a somewhat competant exhaust shop fit nicely for you. Or, you could probably install it yourself. Any reason not to do it that way? You could even have some sweet thunder chambered muffs welded in if you like.

The only duals I would get is out the back. I have an 02 CETA and I think that not having tailpipes would look bad on that car.

Then get the GMMG if you don't have anybody local that can do the duals out the back adequately. (price and quality taken into consideration)

Well, Im gonna go against the flow and say Borla. Its great being able to be quiet then loud in a matter of a couple minutes. I love the sound at WOT and there is NO resonance in the car. BTW Borla is also stainless steel, so it can be polished easily!! Who says this is ugly??

Go GMMG and get the optional tips, thatd look bad. fills the cut out in the bumper very nicely. they look a lot better than the borla tips.

A vote for Borla here. I like being able to adjust it down so it's too quite or running it straight thru so it's too loud. So of course I usually keep it in middle adj. I also like the crisp sound of it with my mild cam. To me the GMMG sounds like an old pick-up truck that the muffler fell off. How can a pinched off pipe with chambers flow good? When it comes to exhaust systems and sound everybody has there own opinion. So that's just mine. Just get what YOU want and don't listen to anybody. Good luck picking one out.
