Default Need Y-pipe information

Just replaced my cat-back with Hooker system...Sounds/looks great...Now I'm wondering about the mashed up factory Y pipe...Should I replace that too? Where can I get one? Will it hit bottom (is that why factory one is squashed?) Did a search but the engine didnt understand Y...told me it needed full words to do a search!

Don't mess with the ypipe until you get headers.....do it once and do it right.

Yes you can replace it, and most of our sponsors will have them. However the gains you will see with replacing the factory y will be slight if at all. Clearance shouldnt be an issue either with a new y pipe. Just get some nice LT's to go along with the y pipe. Heres some more info on everything for you https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139142

If you never plan on headers i would pick a used one up but i would never buy a new one. If you plan on headers just save the money. I just installed used one on my hooker catback and it sound even better now.
