Need Y-pipe information

Need Y-pipe information Just replaced my cat-back with Hooker system...Sounds/looks great...Now I'm wondering about the mashed up factory Y pipe...Should I replace that too? Where can I get one? Will it hit bottom (is that why factory one is squashed?) Did a search but the engine didnt understand Y...told me it needed full words to do a search!
Yes you can replace it, and most of our sponsors will have them. However the gains you will see with replacing the factory y will be slight if at all. Clearance shouldnt be an issue either with a new y pipe. Just get some nice LT's to go along with the y pipe. If you never plan on headers i would pick a used one up but i would never buy a new one. If you plan on headers just save the money. I just installed used one on my hooker catback and it sound even better now.
