Default NO! header bolt!

drivers side rear(last) bolt. got them all in and turned them in a lil at a time to pull the gasket up even. tightened them all down, but the back bolt is about 3/4 of the way in and just stopped all of a sudden.
it will not budge, i cant even get it loose now. i have no idea what happened. started fine, wrenched it in with a 10mm ratchet wrench and all is good. im screwed.

anyone ever run with a rear header bolt out? think it will leak? its on a stock maniold if that matters.
grrrr.

did you use never-cease on them?

try and get it out best you can, it may be a bitch, but you really need to try. after you do this, you can try and run a tap into the hole and clean the threads, then probably have to get a new bolt, and make sure you use never-cease. its the best stuff in the world.

that is strange. I had to do some work on my car and I had to take the driver side header off. That last bolt gave me problems. I ended up taking the bolts off and installing that rear bolt first half way and then the others. I found that I had to wiggle the headers as I tightened that rear bolt. I think the bolt teeth were getting caught on the metal header gasket.

last bolt driver's side gave me all kinds of problems on my install. It doesn't leak but I pretty much forced it in there and it's not going to be fun to take out if I ever have to.

I'd be pretty much with everyone else saying your headers will leak w/o the bolt in its place.

I cross-threaded that bolt. I never fixed it and I've never had any leaks.
