Default Has anyone switched from a 2.5in to a 3in Y pipe?

did you notice any differences in the way the car pulled or felt? Any #s before and after? Just curious for future investments. I am eventually going to spray the Heads/Cam setup so I was considering going to a 3in Y pipe.

I don't know what the chances of finding somebody who went from 2.5-3 and has dyno or track results from that alone. Espeically heads/cam or h/c/nitrous.
If you are goign to spray a heads/cam/nitrous setup get rid of that 2.5" Y-pipe. You will have enough time/money into the car that even a few horsepower loss though the Y-pipe wouldn't be fun.

i went from 2.5 to a 3, and they all went right into the 3 inch cat back. that y pipe wont matter until it becomes and xpipe and the flow exits those pipes instead of merges into a pipe of equal or slightly large size

u could have switched them out on me and had me drive, couldnt have told a difference, the larger pipe had a slightly deeper exhaust note from what i could tell, MAYBE lol thats about it
