power steering?
I replaced the power steering fluid recently and it's been about 1.5 days and the thing still groans a little on the tighter turns...shouldn't the air be worked out of there by now?

If you're having trouble bleeding the system...jack the front wheels off the ground and turn the steering wheel lock 2 lock until the noise is gone. That's the recommended bleeding procedure after a pump/rack/lines/etc replacement.

allready bled and did that, then filled it back up, and it's been 2 days now and there is still a slight groan and vibration when I get near locking it each way. Just seeing how long it usually takes for that air to get pushed out of the system so it'll stop groaning

I basically flushed out the power steering fluid, all of it (due to someone topping the old fluid off w/the wrong kind of fluid)...Did this by undoing the ps line down at the bottom and letting it drain out and then turning the wheel lock to lock to squeeze out anything in there.
then replaced it w/new power steering fluid (the right kind)
now when I drive the PS groans and vibrates slightly, most likely to air trapped in there, so I was curious as to how long it takes usually for all the air in the system to be pushed out (as far as I know, the air will be pushed out by driving it daily)

Were you able to get the old fluid out of the rack too? Maybe some held on.
Maybe the pump is on its way out. Usually doesn't take very long for the air to bleed out. After a drive or two the air should be out.

ATF and PS fluid are really close. They're basically both hydraulic fluid.
I'm guessing the fluid was topped off in the first place because of the groan.
Let it go. If the groan becomes serious then look at replacing the pump. I don't think they are too expensive and you already know how to change it.

it was on the lift, unhooked the lines goign to the rack, let it drain, then after it slowed, turned the wheel lock to lock and more drained, then when it was done, put it back on and filled it back up
for the most part the groan is gone, but now there is a little little bit when I get close to lock to lock.
