why upgrade a component that is not maxed out?

A slp maf does not make any power by flowing more air, it just tricks the comptuer, runs lean, and advances the timing.

Buy parts designed to make the car fast, not to lie to the pcm.

Don't get a new tb, get yours ported. As far as pulley goes should be able to get one installed for $50-$75. LS6 intake would be a good mod for you also.

ported tb would help out a good bit, you can get one for about the same price as the maf after the core charge.

There's a lot of info to be found about home porting with some searching. There are several sponsors of this board that do porting as well. You could also buy a new ported one and then sell your stock one.

MAF is worthless... you got a good MAF sittin in your engine bay now.

porting stock TB is a very worthwhile mod... good for the price..

if your stock besides lid.. why not look into longtubes or any kind of exhaust setup?

a little hi-jacking right here.

What if you have a 90/90 setup? Ideally a 85mm MAF would be the way to go considering the size differences over the stock MAF. Readin what you guys are saying on how it sucks ***, not sure if i wanna go with that. Car will be Ls1edit equipped and tuned for sure. What do you guys recommend?

PS i have a 90/90 setup...

At best the SLP 85mm ('01-'02 model version) is
"pretty close" to stock. Whether "pretty close"
is what you want, after throwing big dollar at the
rest of the motor, I doubt. You'll likely either be
tuning it yourself or hiring it done, and the SLP
piece is an unknown calibration as far as any
known-good MAF table.

The '98-'00 version adds a lean error as a bonus.

Better to pick up a truck MAF (screened) or a
Z06 MAF (unscreened) and use the 6.0 truck
table when you tune it. And an adaptor harness
from Casper's or a junkyard pigtail.

Better to save your money for more effective mods
meanwhile.
