Gauges? which is better.......

..........Mechanical or Electrical?

Which one will give a more accurate reading.

Mechanical is far more accurate then Electrical, but with fuel and oil going into the driver's compartment it can be very dangerous for street cars ... as well as hard to plumb the hoses for the gauges. Electrical gauges are easier to install and are much safer than mechanical gauges. For a street car I would say go with electrical gauges. If it is a serious race car (like ours) and you really need to know what it going on with the vitals, the only option is mechanical.
