Default off road y pipe
is it worth it on stock manifolds? i cant do long tubes because i still have warranty on it for about 2 1/2 years.

The gain would be minimal on manifolds, but a great way to change the sound!

Check your warranty some companies will void only the warranty on exhaust components, or look into having a dealership install the headers, may pay more but could possibly keep your warranty.

i already talked to the warranty company, they said "headers will destroy your engine" and "we will not cover an engine if it has headers". so no headers any one know where i can get an ory pipe for manifolds?

BTW, hold off on the Y-pipe until you're ready to mod. Not worth doing it now.

well all i have now is a lid, and if i need to take it in, the y-pipe and lid are easy enough that if i need to take it in, i can just swap parts really quick.

Well, in that case, an ORY will free up the cat's restriction. Your rear O2's will either need to be deleted, or you can run some rear O2 sims to see if they work for ya.

yea im going to do sims till i can get the car to speed inc. for their $150 tune and have them do skip shift, fans, etc.

First off, what are headers going to 'destroy'? Second what kind of warranty do you have? The car is already 5 years old, isn't it? What can possibly go wrong that hasn't already? Headers, Y-pipe, do'm both...won't hurt anything but the increased performance. Headers will destroy the engine Stupid bastard that said that probably drives a Neon...

"they will destroy the engine" its a carmax extended warranty. yep 5 years old. no he probably drives a civic with v-tec and is jealous
