Question Spark Plug Gap

Just a quick question, I have a 01 SS and I need to get new spark plugs and my car is not here but it will be in a few days, so I want to get ready for a tune-up. Since the car is not here I can't look under the hood and see what the gap is. I went to Auto Zone and they said .040, LMProformance online has them pre-gapped to .050 and the ones I want are pre-gapped to OEM of .059/.060.

Thanks,
Patrick

stock .060, but you can run them at .050 since the system is a coil system.

Correct, stock gap is .060. And I too run TR55s gapped @ .055. I've tried the TR55s gapped everywhere from .050 to .060 and seen no real difference so I just settled in the middle.

Nah, it's gotta be an error. Both my '98 and my '00 listed .060 for spark plug gap on the emissions sticker under the hood. I'm sure '99 is the same.

Actually, I had a '99 LS1 also but I can't recall what that sticker said.... I didn't have that car very long.

TR6s are a colder plug, so I doubt that the tighter gap would hurt anything.
