oil temp guage install question

guage install...need help Ok I read many posts and none of them really answered my question so I am going to ask it here. I have an autometer water temp guage I am installing and I want to know how I can have the stock water temp gauge hooked up to the new autometer sender i screwed into the block as well as my new autometer gauge. Without my stock water temp gauge hooked up right now the ses light is on so i basically want to know how to keep that off. Thanks for any help

I am working on the wiring now and when i turn the ignition the needle gets buried passed 250 and then goes back when the car is off. Does anybody know where I went wrong in the wiring? answers to any of these questions are greatly apreciated
