LS6 is made by GM and the LSX is an aftermarket intake. You'll proabably see the most gains with the LSX if you have a larger displacement engine. Otherwise, the LS6 is a great option, considering the price.
The difference is a lot of f**king money once you factor in the higher cost of a 90mm TB. 
Don't do it until you have done your Heads and a decent size cam. I would not even consider the 78mm version of the LSX.

if you get the 78, you can always swap it out to the 90mm top, again above guys are right, I only selected one because cam is in garage screaming to go in, and heads are in the far far future.
