Default Taylor Wires Are Terrible!

Had one of my Taylor race wires break about 6 months ago Taylor would not send a new one... Yesterday went to pull my plugs out all the drivers side wires came off fine. Every passenger side wire the end pulled off and I was useing the Taylor boot puller and I tryed it by hand. But they broke i put the ends back on and crimped them but now I just am not shure if there firing right until I get it scanned on the cpu.... Taylor Vertex will never see another dollar of my money they are cheap made wires with a expensive price tag

I've used Taylors on most of my vehicles for the past 5 years or so.. But, I don't think they are the best quality wires out there. They seem to burn up quick with little heat exposure.. So, I've got the MSD 8.5s on my car and I havent had a bit of trouble out of em!

Same here. The first set I bought, 2 came apart at the spark plug when removing them. I installed another set but have yet to remove them. Fixing to do a head swap and if one breaks I'm switching to MSD or something else.

We always use MSD wires. No problems as long as you pull them off by the boot and not the wire. We have heard a lot of horror stories with the Taylors.

When i did my header swap 3 of the 8 wires pulled the boot off. This was using diaelectric grease when I installed them only about 9 months before.

I bought another set of them, so now I have 13 taylor wires, which will last me for a while.

I've had mine for over two years and a couple of spark plug changes and header installation with no problems I guess it helps to put a bunch of dielectric grease on the boots afterall.

Pulling by the boot and even used the di-electric grease that came with the kit. The metal connector stayed on the spark plug. Never had one fall off that's for sure. Hey Crazy Man, off topic, what does LadyRedhawk look like? Nothing hotter than a babe that's into cars. Sounds like she knows her stuff from reading some of her post. I know, I know, she's married.

I had a set of taylors and I hated them. They fell apart pretty quick and the quality wasn't too good. I have MSD wires and I love them

By far, the highest quality LS1 wires i have ever seen are More performance's wires they make in house. I have had them on my car for a couple of years now, and pulled them on/off numerous times, with never a problem. I highly recommend them.

That's wierd. I have my Taylors for 3 years with absolutly no issues. I pull plugs alot of times between runs too. I just grab the boot and yank it off the plug.
