offroad y-pipe?

I have switched to the dark side and finaly bought a 2000 SS after owning 4 stangs. Ive done some searching to find who makes an o/r y for a 2000 ss and had no luck, any help would be greatly appreciated! I want to get a loudmouth cat back and an o/r y. when i get back from iraq again I will worry about longtubes and another Y-pipe.

You might want to be carefull there, a loudmouth with an ORY can be pretty raspy. Check out LS1sounds.com if you haven't already. If you want to get a ORY now just for sound, I'd say don't do it with a loudmouth. If you want to do it for performance, it's not worth it without headers. I'd say a loudmouth and a cutout would be a good mod.

Its going to be loud and raspy if you go with ory and loudmouth. Personally I would wait until you get some LT's to get a new y pipe. Not worth it IMO.

I went with MAC headers, and a MAC ory, with a magnaflow. I know some dont care for Mac but I needed the clearance. The macs worked very well for me since they are mid-sized. Don't go with a ORY, without doing the entire thing. Ive heard the loudmouth with headers/ory and didnt like it but thats just my .02

it's a pipe that's welded in series somewhere in your exhaust, and has another pipe that's welded onto it on an angle. it has a cap held on by wing nuts. when you want straight pipes... you pop off the cap and then you're done. make sense?
