1998 AIR removal.
1998 AIR removal. I pulled the AIR system out of my 1998 TA, and was wondering why it was so much different from the other cars I have seen. I was told there would be a vacum hose on the DS valve cover to plug, but I found nothing. Basically all I had to do was block off the tubes on the headers, and pull the hoses. Am I missing something? 
I searched, but could find no differences from the 98/99-02 for this topic.
As a side note, It got rid of my surging/stumbling/backfiring problem.

You didn't miss anything except pulling the pump if you didn't do that. The 1998's had a different system. In fact, many people who put fuel rail covers on 1998 cars find they don't have to make any cuts in the driver's side to accomodate the AIR system like other years do.
