Default ? on motor mounts

I recently purchased a set of poly motor mounts from Texas Speed (sponsor). They are Energy Suspension model # 3.1116G (both are the same model number). I looked at Energy Suspension to see if they were the correct ones as I have already removed the factory one. Their website indicated that the 3.1116 (right side motor mount) and the 3.1127 (left side motor mount) are for the 93-97 models. I have a 2002. The ES one is bigger than the factory one and are a really tight fit, and there are 2 metal ends on the mount that are blocking the mounting bolt that bolts to the block on the bottom.
Has anyone ever used these before?
Here is the mount as it would sit in the car. The bottom metal tabs are my problem.

Can I just grind off that bottom tab? The factory rubber mount does not have a tab there.

Those look like the wrong ones to me but then gain I have never seen the energy suspension pieces. I have installed many set of the prothane mounts.

The prothane mounts have a different looking bracket that sticks out. It only has one tab that sticks out each side just like the stock mount.

If they fit besides the tabs sticking out I would grind them off. Its not gonna hurt anything. The tabs are supposed to be a "stop" for when the engine moves. The engine wont be moving much with the poly mounts anyway.

I was going to call Texas Speed tomorrow and see if maybe they sent me the wrong ones. Just thought I would see if someone else had these type.

I got mine from TSP also and mine looked like that too, it was also a bitch getting it in the mount as well, I hope there not the wrong ones. I left it with the tabs and didn't have a problem with it. Like full force said you can cut them off if you want.

I made life easier on myself and ground off all four tabs. I swapped my motor mount while leaving everything else in place, including the pedestal so I needed all the extra help I could get when putting the bolts back in.

All said and done, I have no issues and the motor is rock solid. No problems at all with removing those tabs.

Just to update...
I called Texas Speed this morning, and talked to Brian. He in turn talked to one of his guys and said that I shouldn't have any fitment problems in the clamshell like I had with this one.
I have e-mailed Brian the photos above and sent him a copy of the link to this thread.
Thanks again Brian for your help and will be waiting for your call.

Another update...
Talk with Brian at Texas Speed and explained it must be a factory goof. Told me to just grind off the metal tabs on the bottom.
Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks for the help guys.

Not a factory goof, all 3.1116's should have four tabs. It does make it easier to get to some of the bolts if you grind off two of the tabs.

I was orginally going to go with the TR mounts as they did come recommended. But they were out going to be out of stock for like a week. So I decided to get them from another sponsor.
Your paperwork is alot more descriptive than mine.

Mine only had 2 tabs like the pic above. Also the tabs were 90 deg off from yours.

Update once more....
After getting home yesterday, I waited for 01ArticeSS (Todd) to come over with the bench grinder. Took all of maybe 20 minutes (low RPM grinder) and the metal tabs were grinded down. By the time Todd headed home, it was 9pm. I got started around 10pm (had to cook dinner for the family), went to put the mount back to the block and the poly part of the mount was still blocking part of the bolts washer. So back out it came and took a box cutter blade and started slicing it down.
Got it all back together in about 3 hours. Finished up about 12:45am. Driverside is done and ALOT of the vibration at idle is gone, and the shifts are alot smoother even from a stand still.
This is the driverside and can say from experience that it was a PITA, but if had to, would do it again. Now on to the passenger side, whichs looks to be alot easier as there is more room to get to the mount.

I have the Prothane ones with just the two tabs. I give you credit for doing this in the car I would be throwing **** and getting to pissed off. It took us like 3hrs to do both sides with the motor dropped sitting on the Kmember. The hardest part was getting the bolt back through the hole because the motor would move on us. It took me and two of my buddies to get this done but the end result was well worth the troubles. The motor was dropped because other things were being done at the same time.

I also ground off all the tabs and installed the mount. The install is a little easier without the tabs and I haven't had any ill side effects.

I ground off the tabs and put the mounts in the freezer overnight before putting them in the clamshell. The mounts easily fit while frozen and expanded after I tightened the mount bolts.

I must say that I am a very patinet person and I have installed every after market part on my car. The motor mount install was the most hellish install to date. You could not pay me to do it again.

I was not looking forward to trying to line up everything for the big bolt. I left the bolts to the block loose, and put the big bolt in, left it loose, and the lined up the bolts to the k-member. Went very smooth.

I was at the point of throwing **** after the tab situation, and then having to take it out again to trim some of the poly away for the bolt. But driver side is done and I feel good about it. Now for the passenger side this weekend.

Wife was wanting me to get TSP to send the correct ones. I told her I didn't have time, as I had a funeral I had to go today. Car feels really good for just the driver side done.

For those who have not changed a motor mount on an f-body, here is a pic of the stock one and the energy suspension one from Texas Speed. Stock one is on left side.
notice that the stock rubber mount is alot smaller. And as far as the "bolts" to hold the clamshell together, the energy suspension mount comes with zip ties to hold this. I had to go to Sears Hardware and get actual bolts to hold it together as I was not going to do this half *** with zip ties.

I think you mean that the stock mount is on the left side. Also, what is it with using washers? On what part do you guys use washers? I didn't use any and haven't had any problems.
