help guys, ive got an idea to make clearance ok so I was a dumb newbie when produceing power when I first got started 2 years ago...I have SLP LT headers with the offroad y-pipe and high flow cats...My main question is...Can I swap out my y-pipe for a smaller one to get more clearence and can I get away with takeing out the cats all together? If you own SLP's you know what im talking about...the catalytic converters and the big y-pipe is what takes out clearance.
Any ideas??? im thinking a different smaller y-pipe and also sawing off the catalytic converters...the only problem is to find a smaller less bulky y-pipe that will fit the exaust and the SLP long tube headers

i have slp headers and am going to be selling them in the next couple of weeks (if i can find someone to buy them). you could gain some clearance by having a custom y-pipe made. but the header collectors will still be low. if all you ever scrape is the cats and y, it may be worth it to you to get a custom y. but if you scrape the collectors and this bothers you, a new y will only solve half your problem.
