Default rings around the 02's

The rings around the 02 sensors (I hope someone knows what I'm talking about because I can't describe it any better) rattle whenever my engine is running. What's the best way to quiet them up? I'm thinking tape would melt off, and RTV would burn off. What do you think? I can't be the first/only one with this problem! thanks

Are you talking about the rings on the wiring sheath? If so, I used electrical tape on mine.

Rattle huh... some red RTV wouldn't melt off. I used black RTV on my cat back once and its still there. I know exactly what your are talking about, never had a problem with them. I have new O2's that don't have those rings. How did you manage to track down that vibration?

I put the car on a lift, and banged on my I pipe with my fist while I listened.
