IMO the alt pulley wont help much, if you run the under sized one.

wouldn't the ud pulley extend your alternator's life since its spinning slower?

Supposed to do good things for the power steering too.

Just found this thread doing some research. Why would you lose HP if you put the Alt pulley on? Is it a Voltage issue maybe?

if you go to the over sized alt pulley it speeds it back up. if you go undersized it slows it more. the faster you spin things the more power it soaks up. there are 2 alt pulleys like i said and the larger sized one will take away more power, but not much IMO

What about pulley's for an automatic transmission does it matter which one you put on, and far as the alt do you need that one when you change the crank.

I know its only a few bucks more for the march pulley set over the just the march crank pulley. I'll get the set, then if I have issues I'll have the Alt pulley.

good call. some have problems some dont. as long as you dont have a system drawing a lot of amps or accessories then you might just be ok. btw i have the march pulley and its great.
