whats the recommended gap for NGK TR55 on a stock WS6

Default whats the recommended gap for NGK TR55 on a stock WS6

I replaced the stock plugs at 50K miles /NGK TR55 gapped at 50 thou.
now it detonotes at 5500 rpm

whats the preferred gap for stock car thanks

I think .050 is best actually. I have found better throttle response at .050 than I've gotten with .055 to .060.

Default was told by a local drag racer to set gap at .040

sometimes get correct advice from him.

what else could be causing this detonotion?

this other guy told me timing needs to be adjusted with a software tune up costing $250.

can a GM tech 2 tester adjust timing or do a tune up?
