Everyone seems to really like the bullets I don't think they would take much power away they're pretty much straight through pipes. Or you could get mufflers like 1 chamber flowmasters and get some cutouts if it's the loud sound your after.

the dyno #'s in my sig are thru a catted QTP y pipe, and a SLP LM if loud is what you are after.. go with that setup. Dyno #'s in my sig are thru that exhaust, on pump gas, all belts on, etc. etc and that's cam only, no elec. water pump, stock t stat, etc. etc. Do cats hurt your power, some may, but the big *** ones that came in my y pipe sure don't seem to be, and my car's as loud as a stock car at WOT.

Hope this helps.

What year is your car? If it's 97 or newer (or was it 96 that ODBII started...)...you should be able to go without cats in Maryland...there's tons of people running long tubes and no cats on their fbodies in maryland. It's a matter of tuning the computer or tricking the computer into not throwing codes. Both of my cars are currently running with gutted cats, to be replaced by long tubes as soon as I have the $$$. Neither would have problems passing emissions.

Now of course...running without cats isn't exactly legal...but they'd have to check for it...which rarely, if ever happens.

My car is an 00 ss.I'm not really after loud.I don't want to lose power!Jl ws6,they are some great #'s you put down.My motor is stock,i want to get the exhaust down before i add a cam.I think i'm going to go with dynomax bullets. No sure what to do about cats.Maybe i'll see what happens when i go to emissions.
I think a dual 3" into a x pipe back into dual 3' all the way out to the rear might work well!
I think that the SLP cats flow well but i can't find any dyno's about it.
I might do as JL ws6 said, can't argue with the #'s.

A buddy of mine has a 99 Z28 M6 with a cam and airlid, running factory manifolds and cats, no muffler, just borla tips, sounds great, runs even better.
