Unhappy AC is out!!! Troubleshooting ideas?

Well, I checked the freon level and it's good. The blower works, pully turns, fuse and relay are good, and the clutch engages....but still no cool air! I mean NONE! None of the lines get cold. Any Ideas? I have an appointment to get it looked at on Monday morning, but if I could figure out what it is and fix it myself, that would be awesome. Thanks.

If the clutch engages & the A/C lines should; one gets hot the other cool if not, you have a problem. It is likley a compressor issue, maybe it suffured an internal failure. Or you are low on refrigerant.

Sounds like my car, compressor was dead. Everything appears to work ok but there is no cold air. If thats the case you can replace the compressor yourself. But if the compressor is fucked up you might need to get the system flushed out to minimize the chances there is any debris from the compressor. I have yet to complete that step.

How much for a compressor and install? Are there any other ones that I can get other than the dealership? Auto Zone, etc...?

i got a used compressor because the prices i found for others were too high, i actually don't remember how much i paid for the compressor but i think it was less than $200. I paid $80 at pepboys for just the install, no recharge or anything.
