LS1ownzYOU- Give us a call. The Y-pipe is made in 4 pieces for adjustability. Unlike others that just bolt up and just bang, you can go back in and adjust ours. Give us a call, we'll be more than happy to try and help you out. The y-pipe should consist of the L1, L2, R1 and the small Y part.

SLPSS01- It may have taken more time but it fits right. Would you rather have the y-pipe fit right with a little more work or bang on the floorboard all the time with another y-pipe that cost more? For me, I would rather spend less money and more time making it right.

If anybody has any questions or concerns, we would be more than happy to talk to you!

Brian

You mean he got up here and bitched b/f he called you. That bugs me. These things are hand made so yes sometimes there are problems with parts, but imo just call the place that sold it to you and see if they will take care of the problem. We have got to stop running down sponsers of the site or there won't be a site to go to. Just my $.02

i sent them pm's. dont get me wrong i contacted them before hand and seeing as there have been a few more people tell me the same thing about the pipe leads me to believe it is a common problem. i still think tsp is a great sponser and i will still but things from them i just dont want someone to go through the trouble i did with the ory. sorry i guess my posts were unclear. if they are sending the wrong pipes out then i want tsp to know so no one else has the same problem

No i called twice at 5 after 6, they close at 6

Its a Y pipe, its not supposed to take 3 hours to bolt up, thats specifically why i bought TSPs because its hand made for our cars to match up with the pacesetters. After my buddy whos been wrenchin on cars for close to 15 years couldnt figure it out after 3 hours of twisting and angling, theres def somethign wrong with the pipes.

The drivers side y doesnt match up with the last pipe of the drivers side header, thers about a 2-3" gap. Im ethier gonna get it resolved through TSP or just take it to a local shop and have em hack it till it works cus i cant drive my buddies truck forever or drive open headers forever.

I feel for you because I went through a similar ordeal but the pipes fit and real nice too, I know it's hard to believe at this point. I ended up taking my car to Speed Inc, it just needed to be adjusted . Took them all of 15 minutes to fix it. Maybe you can find a shop or board member nearby that has installed the TSP Y before?
Good luck, hope you get it worked out soon.
If I get a chance I'll get under my car this weekend and get some pictures, maybe that will help.

ls1ownzyou- If you have any pics, send them my way, it sounds like you didn't get the right pieces. If you have any just email them to me. If you called after 6 it's not because we didn't want to help you...we're usually just ready to get out of here and do a little ! Give us a call and we'll get it worked out for you!

skywalkrncsu- I wish we could have gotten some pics before you took it to the shop. I would have liked to take a look at the pieces to see what happened.

I just looked at my pieces and I have all the right parts, labelled very sophisticatedly with a Sharpie.

I'll make a post after the install to let you guys know how it goes.

I have a question, what tips/pointers can you guys share?

Well ill send you the pics but i need your email.

2morro im taking it over to an exhaust shop because my buddy needs his truck and i cant drive with open headers @ 8am in the morning. If indeed you did send me the wrong parts instead of sending me new ones (if the guy fixes it 2morro) can you send me the 30-40 its going to cost to get it fixed?

brian@texas-speed.com is the email address. Send them now and I still may be able to get the right pieces out today for you to have tomorrow.

You can tell if you have the right pieces. The R1 and L2 will be the pretty much the same, except they will be expanded at opposite ends.

I have an R1, L1, L2 and the pipe with the Y.

The R1 lines it perfect with the y

L1 comes off the drivers side header and lines up decent with L2 and then L2 and the y have like a 2" gap and will never line up with out cutting and serious welding.

And i sent you the email

Are the L2 and R1 the same length? Can send me a pic that shows more of the driver's side?

Brian
