Default Exhaust Manifolds - Changes between years

Posted on the swap section but thought it might get more attention/response here.

Have 98 LS1 for swap into 88 GTA. Need stock manifolds and saw there are different part numbers for 88-89 and later years. What are the differences between these parts. Will the later model manifolds work on the 98 heads?

Did have one earlier reply that said the later models supposedly flowed better, true?
