Actually, the MAF is not a real time source. The PCM reads the raw frequency from the MAF, then looks up the airflow in the MAF table.

I've heard/read the stock maf's are good to 500hp anyway, any truth to this?

I know my "stock" MTI ported MAF worked just fine...505hp N/A and over 700hp with a small TNT shot...BTW selling my MTI ported MAF if anyone is interested. Going the 90mm route now to help feed the hungry beast...Got pics if anyone needs them.

I believe the rule of thumb number is 650.

wats the deal w/ not running a maf? i have my screen off,its proven to increase flow.best upgrade for the stock maf is bored ot the maf outer sheels or buy them from thunder racing for 100 buck best invesment but dont buy no after market maf
