You'll get much more efficient with practice. I just got done swapping out the stock plugs on my g/f's bone stock SS (still has AIR and stock manifolds etc.) and it took me 1 hour and 5 minutes from the time I popped the hood open to the time I started her up. Plus, I lost 0 ounces of skin! 
All of the stock plugs were gapped from .057-.060"
