Default correct placement of rear O2 sensor on custom catted y-pipe

I mite be making a custom Y-pipe / cats how do you know where to weld in the rear o2 bung.

I've heard that it needs to be exactly (unknow # for now) from the center of the converter. and correctly placed within (unknow #) from the front o2 sensor

most likely will be using a 16 inch overall lenght converter and 12 inchs of catalicytic core

trying to save the cost of rear o2 sims kindof like the supermax exhasut sys. by dynotech.

Thanks

Default wide band O2 sensor placement for tuning

after all my bolt on mods and cam are installed do'es the tuner need a wide band rear O2 sensor bund to plug into?

I'll be using a custom catted Y-pipe currently without any rear sensors

Thanks

the best place to put the wideband would be in front of the cats. (weld a bung somewhere before the cats)

Wouldn't you then only be reading one cylinder bank?

yeah you would be only reading one bank, true. but the cats will throw the reading off anyway if you go after them

I don't really know anything about tuning, are you supposed to use 2 widebands or what?

WB before cats. you can run 2 WB's if you want, but it's not 100% necessary

You can't really tune individual banks, so it makes no difference anyway. Place it before the cats between 10 o 'clock and 2 o 'clock.
