Default What to replace my flowmaster with?

Currently got a flowmaster cat back(came with the car when I got it and never bothered to change it) and I want to change it. I like how the tips look, but dont like the sound too much, dont hate it either, but have heard they dont flow much at all. What would be a nice muffler to have my exaust shop weld in. Not looking to buy a entire catback, just a muffler to replace the one on my flowmaster cat back. I want something that wont restrict as much power. thanks

Hooker. I love mine & it stays quiet inside the car. No drone or rasp.

Magnaflow mufflers are also very good. With all those mods that you're expecting to have installed, I would make sure that you have full 3" piping all the way back because if not you probably aren't going to make much power and will be dissapointed after spending all that money.

Another vote for Magnaflow. I have them on both of my cars. Great flow and sound for a good price.

You can order then entire catback system for around $260.

Where can you get one for this price?

I am upgrading my stock SS exhuast and want something that sounds good and gives decent performance.

yup, at first I didnt like the magnaflow when this kids car was on stock manafolds, but it grew some ***** once he got headers on it. Its still mellow at idle and cruise.

I already have all of the parts installed, just haven't put in the direct port nitrous yet. I have been driving it with the new mods for about a week now. It is a 3" exaust, then goes into the flowmaster catback. So from what I have read the hooker is quieter than the flowmaster, correct? I want something that sounds mean at idle.

A Hooker here. No rasp like in the flowmaster and while they are welding it up put in a cutout.

I already have a QTP cutout on there, but haven't ran the wire for the switch. I am realy thinking true duals, but can't afford them at this time, especially since I just had this y-pipe welded in last week. So far I am leaning towards the hooker.

Get a magnaflow. Sounds mellow at most speeds.
