Question 2001 F-Body LS1 Hose Function?

Those very small diameter, stiff, black plastic(1/8"?), little hoses that wrap around the top of the engine...What are they for? Some have little 90 degree elbow boots on the ends. Where do they connect...or is there a place(website, thread, etc.) where I can find the hose routing on a stock LS1? Thanks, Gar

I think(?) one comes to the front of the engine on top of the passenger valve-cover & plugs into something at the front of the engine???but attaches to what??? How about all the others? Is there a hose schematic for an LS1? Gar

They are probably just vacuum lines. Valve cover to intake, brake booster to intake.

But you said 1/8th of an inch and plastic.. that reminds me of the throttle cable that comes from behind the battery to the throttlebody.

Any of these look familiar?

Question Really Nice Picture...

And I like your red "Lemans Bar"...But, I'm talking 1/8" very small ridged black tubing that is definately factory tubing. This same small tubing goes in/out of a little metal box on the drivers rear top side of the intake manifold as well? They connect to something at the rear of the intake also. I've got those larger rubber vacuum hoses from the valve covers figured out, thanks. Gar

They're vacuum lines going to the MAP sensor in the back of the intake. There's some for the MAP, AIR injection system and HVAC controls in the car. You'd have to get a Helms manual for the routing diagrams.

Scroll down a little for service manual. OR, talk to one of the sponsors like SDPC about a better deal.
BTW, the service manuals include both Camaro and Firebird, V6 & V8. Should be a 3 manual set which includes trans, body, engine, etc, etc, etc.
