Default Need a new MAF.

Hey guys, I think I need a new MAF and i was told somewhere that I could use one off a 5.3 or 4.8 truck? Can anyone confirm? Also how about a maf off of a LS1 of LS6 vette? Any ideas?

Get another stocker. Too many bad things can happen messin with the MAF.

Well I can get a 5.3 one for real cheap and Im a broke college kid. Anyone will a 5.3 or 4.8 work? what is the flow on them?

Z06 or truck MAF, the only difference is the screen,
either needs you to reprogram the MAF table or you
will be pig, pig, piggy rich.

Unless you go and solder a 2.7K resistor across the
"live" legs, in which case it will be just as good as a
SLP MAF. Note the relative rather than absolute
endorsement.

You would still need the 5-wire to 3-wire adaptor.

I really recommend you get a junkyard, F-body
MAF and swap the ends (if your plastic core piece
is still unmolested) or just plug in the whole thing
and see if it works (maybe clean it real well first,
just in case it spent its previous live behind a K&N
or huffing PCV mist).
