Default Is this the right cat?

A guy from here wanted my passenger side catalytic converter. I got my cats out and couldn't tell which was which, so I pieced them together with the stock manifolds and Y-pipe and found (what I thought was the passenger one). I sent it to this guy and he has told me that it's the wrong one. However, I went and got my manifolds again today and it looks like the only one I have left mates up to the driver's side perfectly, which would mean that he does indeed have the passenger side.

Here is the one I sent him:

And here is what I have left that I think shows that my driver's side manifolds meet up with the remaining cat that I have.

My car is a 2000 and I'm not sure what year his car is. What am I missing here? Did I send him the wrong cat?

I am pretty sure that the bottom pics are the drivers side and the top pics are the passengers side. Thats just off the top of my head though, I will go double check for ya.
Yeah, thats got to be the right one.

What years were the manifolds different? Didn't the 01-02s have different manifolds?

If you look at the bottom pics, that is clearly my driver's side manifold. And the flanges on the ends of the cat and manifold meet up perfectly. The flange on the driver's side is much more elongated than the one on the passenger side and the flange on the cat that I believe is the driver's side (here with me) is the same way and fits right up to it. The remaining cat that I have won't fit up to my passenger manifold, so I'm fairly sure I sent the right one.

So I am correct that I did indeed send him the right cat and it is the passenger one?

Yup, I just got confirmation from a bunch of people this morning and a mechanic.

The 98-99 manifolds are different, the 2000 is the oddball year, and the 01-02 manifolds are different as well. I was indeed right and sent him the correct cat from my car.

the only differences in the 00 and 01-02 manifolds is the missing EGR hole. Everything else is the same.
