Default Starter solenoid question

I was wondering is it possible to use the solenoid from a 98 v6 starter with a 98 ls1 starter. Probably not just thought i would ask ?? Any help greatly appreciated

You know, I don't really know. I had a '96 V6 Camaro, which I pulled the starter on, but not (yet ) on my Y2K. My best resource has always been one of the little auto electrical shops here in this little town.If you pull it, most will test it for you, free. I'd bet that a local Advance or Autozone could help, probably at no charge. Luck, gwj.

i know the solenoid works... But when a buddy and i were removing the transmission for a rebuild the ground wire was corroded so i ended up breaking it off. so i just wanted to know if a v6 would bolt up to an ls1... I have checked all the local auto stores..
