I like the look and wish I would of done this before. I kept the grills
Would this be considered a free mod?

It didn't cost you anything did it? I did that with mine as well, and also used a piece of foam to seal the airbox to the nostril openings. Seems to work pretty well.

Is this what sealing the hood to my airbox looks like? Should I just re-use the big baffle like this guy.
Could someone post pics of weather stripping or foam seals so I could get a general idea. I mean I could do it but I'd like to see how everyone else has done it.

BG Ram Air System

The BG Ram Air system is designed to replace the stock WS6 hood baffles and seal the 1 inch gap between the hood and the air box to smoothly transition and maximize the forced cold, high pressure air into your engine to create more horsepower.
$239.99

I'm thinking of just buying this, I know it's $$$ but it looks like better than anything I could fab up. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

I drilled out the rivets and I unscrewed the 2 bolts that are on the grills and after that I held a screw driver against the baffles and hammered the screw driver and it all popped out very easily. but only after you drilled out the rivets.

the bg(brian green) ram air kit is good, cost a bit but i havent seen anything else out there. You can always fab up your own stuff like i did with the weather strip. Was thinking of making my own kit but not sure yet..

BG ram air kit it is than, but my car already has !FRA and SLP CAI. Should I not seal the lid and leave my car the way it is now.
The BG ram air kit is supposed to seal the lid, is it too late for me
Should I get the BG ram air kit anyways

why did you do the fra/slp cai... when you have a ram air hood? The fra/slp cai was for the guys running a stock hood and no means to get cold outside air. Us ram air guys have the hood and opening to the outside through the hood. In your case i have no idea what to say. I would think the bgra would be a little better than the fra/slp but since you already have that im thinking you should leave it as a switch to a bgra wouldnt gain much if anything and you would be spending all kinds of money

The FRA just got there, I didnt even do it. Now who ever did it screwed me. The SLP CAI was as of now a rookie mod mistake.
Well than what was the purpose of me taking out the baffles, did I gain anything at least

take a drill bit a little bit bigger than the center hole of the rivit. YOU DO NOT NEED A BIT AS BIG AS THE RIVIT HEAD. Once you drill deep enough(in the center of the rivit) the head will just snap off and most likley get stuck on the drill bit... you'll see

Anybody know a way to do this w/o drilling holes? If not, how bout a way to fill them? Ive been thinking of doing this, I just dont like the look of having all those rivet holes. Dont want to steal the thread, you can PM me if you've got any answers. Thanks.
