Edelbrock SDT Muffler

Edelbrock SDT Muffler I just installed the new Edelbrock SDT crossflow muffler and it is LOUD!
I had a hooker Aero Chamber mufler before and I thought the Edelbrock would be more mellow? Not! It sounds good, but I was ready for a noise reduction.
I am going to drive it for awhile and see what happens?

Those don't use any packing do they? If not I seriously doubt that putting miles on it will change the sound any. They are supposed to come with some kind of hi tech coating, correct? How does it look?
