no, unless it turn down tips on a dumped exhaust or something along those lines. i think monza makes tips that have fiberglas in them like glasspacks, but those for your typical ricer.

Tips will change the sound of your exhaust, the larger diameter/length of the tip the more it will change the note. most tips on f-bodys are short enough to not change the sound much at all, but if you go with a longer/larger tip it will definatly change the sound

Tips DO CHANGE the sound of the exhaust. The wider the tip, the deeper the exhaust note.

Why do you think the civics put 5" tips on them? It makes the exhaust sound deeper.

Think of an organ. The wider the pipe, the deeper the note. The high pitched pipes are all a smaller diameter.

I have 4" round tips that are 18" long. It sounds very deep.

These tips made a big difference on my car. They act like a reverberation chamber- much louder, not as deep sounding.

Does talking through a megaphone change the tone of your voice? Tips change the exhaust note.

HMMM, maybe I will make a short video of my Hooker with and without tips.

I replaced my SLP slash tips with 18"x3.5" echo tips. much more refined sounding IMO.

My CME tips rang like a bell at certain RPMs until
I went and sanded the inside roughness down
(this was just while polishing them, for looks).
Kooky. Talking exhaust note, as in note, there.

They defintely change the note - I went from stock z28 tips to simple round ones - less resonance, and quieter inside the cabin....

I have megs dual dual 3.5" (7" x 3.5")

it sounds very deep and throaty but that may be due to the PowerMouth setup i have

if anyone has corsa premiums they want to sell for under 100...

I'm going back to some kind of simple round tips also; my tips definitely have too much resonance.
