you'll just throw an SES. Just use block off plates if your headers have the flanges.

What part of the air system are you talking about . The header, air lid, the small vacume line on the intake? If your headers dont have thr air prevision get under the driver side fender inbetween the bumper and remove the hole pump and all the air hoeses.

Thats what i did i just took the whole motor out and hoses my car is a 98 so it doesnt have the hose going to the lid. Also Conan i have the block the copper color plug on the intake too right where the air Seloniod (SP) went? trying to figure out where everything goes. I am putting a 04 LS6 z06 engine in my 98z do i have also plug up the spot on the back of the driver side head where the pcv was on my old 98z setup? Also to take care of the AIR and EGR i got Pacesetters LT's race style i also leaving my A/C out so hopefully my engine bay should be really clean also should probably loose a good amount of weight i read that the AC,Power Steering and alt take up like 30 hp.

I took the AC out of my car too. With no air egr and ac there is a ton of room in the engine compartment. If you want to make even more room get a tubeular K-member when you swap motors.

Yeah i was gonna get tubeular k member and a-arms but those will have to wait till maybe next year. I cant wait to get my 98z up and running its been parked since April 1st i had been spending alot of money on parts i basically have a brand new 04 z06 thing has like 3k-4k on it i think i got a pretty good deal i paid 3125 for it but i had to buy a z06 intake so i bought one from GMpartsdirect.com pretty good price 388.00 its a kit comes with gaskets and all. I'm gonna have to get the codes disabled at my local fbody performance shop. How much power your motor putting out? with the list of mods your car has must be one fast car.

Hope we arent thread jacking too much, sorry. The car runs better than a full bolt on car now because of the loss of compression, the blower should be at my house today so that will wake it up quite abit I'm shooting for 600 at the wheels.

I already have the codes deleted so I am not getting an ses light. I am just trying to make sure that I wont mess anything up by not plugging the holes on the motor. I already plugged the lid.

As long as you have everything pluged that your air system was connected to you'll be fine.

You still havent specidied what you are talking about. I assume you mean the two little flanges that the air tubes bolt to on each header. if you don't block those off somehow you are going to have two BIG LOUD exhaust leaks under your hood.

That is what I'm talking about, but I do not have exhaust leaks under my hood...? I just want to make sure that nothing is going to break.

If you don't have cats, get the AIR deleted. the AIR comes on under open loop (o2's not warmed up yet and the computer is mixing blindly, or uner a hard spec), I believe, to help the cats. The engine runs rich under open loop, so the air helps correct it.

I would think u would have some type of noise coming out of the AIR holes on the exhaust.u can probably make some type of block off plate. I bought race style headers
Hey Bayer i am putting Pacesetter LT's in my 98z and i bought 13111 bosch o'2 for vettes what connector do i plug them into to? also i am putting a ORY and i am taking out EGR and AIR. And 1 more quick question about intake. Theres a sensor that goes on the back of the intake manifold and theres a little looks to be a vaccum connector right next to the sensor what plugs into that PCV hose? i am putting a 04 z06 engine hopefully tomorrow get it running. And 1 more thing would i be able to put the headers on my motor now i got the engine on my K-member i got the whole front suspension out so i was wondering if it would be easier just to bolt them on while its out. Thanks

You're still not getting it..... If you do not block off the two little tubes coming off the header exhaust gas WILL come out of them. Uless they messed up and didn't drill a hole for the tubes and so they are just dummy tubes.
