ok if i was to get an ls6 intake what all do i need to install it and forget about it? i know about the coolant tubes but what else?? thanx and for another question what all bolt on wise to i need to run like an 8.2-8.3 in the 1\8 with an a4? ill have bfg drag radials but what else.. and its a 3.23 car too..

 

You will need block off plates for the egr, unless you have "race" headers.Also get yourself a converter to match your gears.

 

you need 1 coolant line, 2 coolant plugs, and one egr block off plate if you dont have racestyle headers as said above.

The race headers have no previsions for the air system or the egr, you can buy headers that have ports for those system.

 

what does the car run now? what is your 60'?

You will want to take your car and stall it to 1000-1200 to get the best et from it assuming it hooks which it should with stock gears and auto with drag radials.

I think you will run mid to high 8's like it is. The first thing I would do is exhaust. If you cant afford full exhaust right now then I would get Longtubes, ORY, and a cutout in your stock I pipe. If you cant afford that then get a cutout, lid, and do some free mods.

That should get you in the low 8's. The best my car has gone is 8.05@89 with the mods in my sig but its a lowered car with a 6 speed and it will not hook even on M/T et street radials. 8.0 was with a 1.98 60'.

You should be able to get 1.8's with drag radials.

 

Hey dont forget to get new gaskets for the cross over pipe and the plugs theres little metal clips with a seal that help the plugs and cross over pipe from leaking. i paid like 25 bucks for 4.
