Does the Hooker muffler burn out

I have had a Hooker catback on my car for >30k miles. It seems like it has gotten louder over time. It is not rusted through or leaking. Does the Aerochamber burn out or blow out over time?

all mufflers "break in" over time and get a little louder.

how do you like the hooker cb?

do u have stock manifold, cats, y?

i think im going to go with this cb

Mine got alittle louder after about 4k but not much.
Also 01ls1ta I have LT's and a ory Y I love the hooker CB it was cheap, high flowing and sound's great, didn't have it on with stock mainafolds.

I just put the Hooker muffler on my car last week. Well made, but very little change in sound over the stock system. I'm still running the stock manifolds w/SLP Y-pipe. Soon to have headers w/catted Y. Maybe then it will be a little louder.

Wait untill you get your headers, it wont sound like stock any more

Five years and 60,000 miles and it sounds just the same. I did have to install a 24" Dyno max in the I pipe when I eliminated the cats and put on Jet Hots. Too much drone 2,000/2,400 rpm
