Default WOW ! !EGR & !AIR ......

I can't believe how much faster the car in now!

Just kidding.

But seriously, I was shocked at how much crap was laying on the floor when I was done. There is miles of that large air tube (or seems like it).

Much neater engine compartment now. Have to clean where the egr was, spot I never could get to before!

Get codes deleted this week and fan temps lowered at the same time.

Get mod!

dead weight gone.

Did you change the t-stat? If not i'd think twice before lowering the fan temp. Best bet is to just do the fan switch mod and be done. ...You dont want both fans kicking on full when you are at the staging line.

No, still stock t-stat. You suggest a 160? What temp should fans be set to in with 160? with stock?

Thanks!!!!

I have the 160* Thermostat and my fan settings are

Fan 1 184 on 175 off
Fan 2 194 on 185 off

Fan 2 hardly comes on unless is is 90+ and I am stop and go traffic.

It's no so much about saving weight (maybe 20 pounds), but the space gained is worth the price of admission.

Hey guys I never have done that before and didn't know if you had to get the codes reset immediately after taking the stuff off of can you actually drive around alittle bit and will it damage anything, also do you just have a tech shut them off or do you also have to tune it to run without that stuff??

I dont think it hurts anything driving without them tuned out. It just throws a code.

Although I ran mine for several months back in 02' when I did this, now I know there are tables that affect performance that can be altered in addition to turning off the codes. It won't damage anything driving around. If you got a buddy who can just shut off the codes, then go for it. The other tables only take a minute to zero out as well ( EGR add-in )

Driving without the AIR will eventually get some codes, but won't effect performance. Driving without EGR, well people more knowledgeable than me say that without having some changes made to the PCM tuning the PCM will default to some tables that will affect timing, etc. Refer to the tuning forum for people that know the details.
