Steering Linkage Removal

Steering Linkage Removal OK,
Putting in Hooker LT's. Passenger side is done, but need to remove the steering linkage on drivers side. How is this done? Is it 2 bolts in the shaft itself or are they in the U-joints? If anybody has pics of the bolts that needed to be pulled it would be great.

did you get it out? you just have to remove the two bolts...spread the shaft out slightly...push it onto the streering column..this will remove it from the rack...then slide it off the column.

I got it out, but getting it back into the rack is a SOB. I can get it started somewhat, but it slips off center. Thinking of having the old lady turn the wheel slightly back and forth when she gets home and trying to slip it in. Any suggestions?
just center the wheel then go out and center the front wheels.
spread the linkage out so it slips on easily...then slide it up teh column first..the slip it on the rack...the key is to make sure its spread out.
