People lose 5-10 rwhp when running two 3" high flow cats, I can't imagine how restrictive putting all your exhaust through a single 3" would be? Choke city!

I had LT headers, off road Y pipe and Corsa Catback and it sounded like ***. I added a 12" oval Borla XR-1 and it still sounded bad. I have since switched to true duals and it sounds like a muscle car of back in the day...

The cats have to be close to the header to work properly. The cats need to be very hot to work correctly and placing them in the I-Pipe would not let them get up to the correct temps.

Thanks for the input. I blocked off my catback and it doesn't sound to bad, however I am still probably going to put an XR-1 in the I. Will just have to deal with the odor I guess.
