I agree with 300bhp/ton that it is a look that is from the old muscle car era. The old Dodges used to sport a flat black hood with a huge scope right in the middle. I personally think the car looks pretty good.

The way its set-up now it doesnt flow very well with the car. They look more like side-steps for a truck or suv. If they were tucked up nicely then maybe I could see it, but not the way it sits. But hey, if you like it then who cares

I was thinking about going the side pipe route but I wanted to use the Nascar type boom tubes. Just can't figure out how to run it with the ground effects!

Not bad. I agree with the idea to make the pipes black. I love the idea of side pipes/side exit exhaust. And the flat black hood is kickass as far as I am concerned. If these people think it is "RICE", they need to go back to muscle car school and learn about the special drag pack Dodges, Plymouths, Fords, etc of the 1960s. They all had flat black hoods. All that hood really needs now is a set of hood pins .
