Heat wrap??? Anyone ever thought about wrapping your headers with aluminum heat shield or something of the like before you install them? It should help with cooler running engines and also might help protect the headers...What you think? Waste of time or worth it?
I wrapped mine and it reduced underhood temps alot which has to help. Make sure if you do it that you get it tight and clamped well if you use wrap, and dont get it wet any more than you have to, as it can get loose. On my most recent car I used the sheeting, with clamps, its uglier but dont come loose and unravel. They say it helps keep heat inside which helps flow, but it is probably a very small gain to say the least. Its biggest bonus is less underhood heat. It is worth doing, I do it to all my bikes and cars.
