When you're on the road, noone will be able to tell where the exhaust sound is coming from. Dummy tips are just an easy, and cheap, way to fill in the gaps and kinda hide the fact you're running true duals.
But like I said before - I think T/A's and especially Formulas look fine without tips there.

Never really thought about it, but I don't think its a drawback to the looks of the car.
You can see the TD's, of course the battery kill switch is another give away that my car isn't stock.
