Default TA / Formula owners with TD dumps.....

How do you like the look of the back of your car without exhaust tips? I really want to do TD's, but don't have the $$ to run it out the back. I'm not too sure how I will like the look of the rear bumper without tips..... I just don't think it'll look right. What are your opinions?

Just cut your over axle pipe and leave the stock muffler, and tips back there.

Personally, I have corsa premium tips on my car, and would not go true duals without going out the back to keep those tips, as they really set the car off.

I didn't like it at first. Then I did the CETA style bumper paint, and it looks better without the tips now IMO.

Slow - I couldn't just have tips back there not doing anything, even if it is just for the looks.

Josh - Love the hood! On your website, you didn't have pics without the tips. Have you taken any now that they're gone?

Anyone else?

It took some getting use to, but I like the look of not having them. I don't like it as much on formulas though, because on my t/a the bumber comes down lower and hides the exhaust tips a lot more. I have gotten compliments on the fac that I don't have them before, because they said it looks mysterious. No bling here, just power

Leaving tips back there not doing anything is dead weight to me.
I can get you some pics of my car tomorrow if you are interested.

i periodically take off my muffler and tips. Don't mind not having tips at all.

This is the best media i have of no tips on my car:

I think it looks fine, but it's easy to mount 'dummy' tips if you want.

Yeah, but I'm not too interested in dummy tips. Either they're there and doing something, or they aren't there at all. It seems kinda funny to have tips, but have the exhaust sound come from just in front of the axle; don't you think?

depending where you live, dummy tips might be good to ward away cops. yes the sound will be from underneath, but at least from a slight distance, it would be hard to tell. when i get TDs, im not goin to put on fake tips at first, but i might put my borla tips on somehow if it doesn't look right. you could probably make a bracket that bolts/welds to where the tips hang from normally

I had the premiums at one time too.. hurt to take 'em off, but I like the look sans tips now.

One day I may switch back to a catback/Y setup, but only time will tell.

I plan to do true duals on my T/A really soon.. I do not have a problem with not having tips out the back. It looks good to me because how many race cars do you see with tips out the back? Hm... none..

I think it's the meanest "no nonsense" looking bumper you'll ever see driving down the road. I LOVE MINE!

Tim - thanks for the pic. It really doesn't look bad, like I pictured. From the back, your car looks dope....reminds me a lot of mine.
