Help Does anyone know what the function of this item in the picture is ? It is located just below the intake on camaros and firebirds, but I dont think it is on corvette engines.
I think it has something to do with the engine cooling, but I dont know if it is pushing fluid out of the block or supposed to be sucking in coolant ?
Does it need to be connected to the bottom of the radiator or just connected to the coolant overflow tank ?

If Im using an aftermarket radiator with only one overflow valve on the top, can I just run that connection under the intake to the overflow container ?
I have it set up that way now, but the water in the overflow tank is boiling, so I think I am going to have to change it.
