Default Question About Installing New Headers

when i bolt on the new headers, there edelbrock shorties, will i need to put any kind of siliccon or some type of sealer on the bolts when i put the new headers on? let me know, thx

No sealer...put a light smear of Never-Sieze on the header bolts....it's VERY easy to gaul the threads in an aluminum head.

Personally, I would use ARP header studs. Put the studs in, and you can "hang" the gasket from 'em while positioning the headers onto the heads. Then it's just a matter of screwing on the stud nut. With bolts, you've gotta stab the damn things through the header flange and the holes in the gasket, and then try to align everything with the holes in the heads. A rotten PITA.
