Catch Can Questions

Catch Can Questions Guys and Gals, I'm working on my project car and at the point of which I need to install a catch can (or so I've heard I need to that is) on my 370 LS1. The AMW Can is way over priced IMHO and was going to look into the GReddy setup, or at least thats what I've heard guys are going with. Does anyone have any input on these and maybe some install pics? Or am I wasting my time and just bite the bullet and buy one of the AMW's? Also since this is just a track car am I wasting my time with this whole setup and should try something different?
While I admit that the AMW can is expensive, I don't think the price is unfair...if you see the craftsmanship and quality of the setup, I think you'll agree...I don't have any direct experience with the GReddy setup, so I can't comment on it.
I purchased the AMW Catch Can when it was $88. Once I received the catch can, the craftsmanship is superior and thought I got a hell of a deal. Even at the new price, it is still worth considering.
You could buy a air compressor mini filter at your local hardware store for about $25. Just remove the little filter inside. It works just like an amw catch can, but probably not quite as good. This is what I did, and it works good enough for me.

I just bought a generic import catchcan off EBay and installed it for like $30.00. It' s simple, and doesn' t have the baffles and what not, but, I don' t get oil into the intake. Just do some research.
Here's what I did recently, cost < $10 for the parts (from Lowes). Better than a catch can since it never has to be emptied due to how it's mounted. (You have to cut the plastic PCV line about halfway back to do this.) The box is filled with one of those stainless steel kitchen scrubbers - the oil it catches just drips back down to the PCV line and the block. Works great.

I have a greddy, they did not have the amw when I bought it, or I would have bought it. But I dont think anything is worth what we have to pay nowadays. I think the amw is the best design out there though.
