Expensive Air Lid What is so special about this air lid?

That's expensive compared to others I've seen (generally around $80-$100). I notice this expensive one says 17 RWHP gain, you think that's BS? Anybody have any opinions? I'm going to be getting an air lid soon, probably next month, and wondering should I just get one of those $100 SLP or Whisper lids, or should I save up more and get this one or is it just a rip off?

a lid is a lid buddy. they are all going to flow similar numbers. the main thing to be concerned about is the fitment of it, as some aftermarket lids dont exactly seal just right....thus allowing air to escape through the sides. as far as performance, aftermarket lids dont have the baffles like stock lids...they are smooth to increase flow velocity. plus there is a larger volume of air passing through it...thats why some lids sit kinda high. id definitely look for a nice used lid in the for sale section...or go ahead and buy a whisper lid for 100 bucks. or u could wait for one of the sponsors to post a sale or free shipping special.

Verdad Gallardo well the GMS and SLP lid sell for around $99 on byunspeed, so they arent necessarily overpriced, especially compared to other lids that start at $129 (mostly clear or carbon fiber).
i got the SLP lid just because it is said to be constructed of the same OEM material as the stock lid, which i see the GMS does too. Also, besides the lid rubbing people's hood, i've never many fitment issues with the SLP lid, and the lid ain't gonna rub my hood.

No difference....get a cheaper one(in price) Funny how when something is high priced we assume that its better then the other brands, but nope its just a regular ordinary intake. Quality and performance is all the same
I would get the SLP lid. Its made out of more flexible plastic. I have a Whisper lid. Nothing wrong with it buts its made out of the hard plastic that would be easier to break.
