Proform shift light install.....PIC Well, just got done my shift light install. I chose to place it in front of the shifter angled towards me. It is a clean and nice looking install. I posted two pics, one with the light cover and one without. Enjoy!

Thanks for the complements. I was going for a clean "factory" look as stated above. Wiring was a 3-wire hookup. Positive, negative and tach signal. I tapped into my Kenwood CD player harness for the switched 12v source and negative. The signal was placed through the firewall and connected inline with pin#10 on the PCM. I couldn't get the light to work at first because I had the light set on 8-cylinder settings. For some reason our cars need to be set on 4-cylinder settings. It works fine now.

I tried the light out a few times on the street and it is crazt bright even though it is so low in the cabin. This was a good invenstment so I am not gazing at the tach all the time. I know the sound of the motor pretty well now too so the light just backs up my assumption as when to shift.

Haven't tried it during the daytime yet. If I remember I will try tomorrow and post results. With the tinted windows up at dusk, or the windows open at night the light is really bright. The light is angled upward and towards my face so it isnt in the path of the shifter.
