To remove AIR or not to remove
I am already going to have my rear O2 codes removed and will have to have my AIR removed to make the car emmissions legal after this.
I live in PA where I believe they only do the ODB II emmsions test with no visual. I read once that to pass the OBD II you must have atleast 2 systems out of the AIR, EGR, and rear O2s active. If this is rue I will fail inspection so I cannot do the AIR removal. So is this true?? Anyone know how that works??
Also does the AIR have any other function other than to help the cats out. Does it help with gas milages?? Does it add performace?? Does it have any other effects either positive or negative??
I'm having a ticking sound also, been trying to pin point it for about a month so far.
btw, my AIR is in tact, living in NY, I'm leary about removing it.

I just finished installing my LTs and ORY and I now either must do the restrictor plate mod or completely remove the AIR to stop the ticking.....
